The Borgen Project is an international organization focused on addressing global poverty through political advocacy. With 20 years of experience, we have helped support legislation that benefits nearly 500 million people in developing countries.
Role OverviewThis is a part‑time (12 hours per week) unpaid remote programme lasting 12 weeks. If you are unavailable for the full duration, you can work ahead and complete the programme in fewer weeks.
Responsibilities- Lead public and political outreach in your state and district.
- Meet with members of Congress and other government officials in your district/constituency.
- Represent The Borgen Project at business, political and community events.
- Assist with fundraising; create a personal fundraising campaign and meet targets.
- Mobilize individuals to contact their members of government on key poverty‑reduction legislation.
- Speak to groups, classes and organizations.
- Write letters of support for key programs to political leaders, media and other groups.
No prior experience is necessary. We are looking for passionate individuals committed to fighting poverty and righting injustices, regardless of GPA or background.
Program DetailsThis is an unpaid programme, although college credit is available. New programmes begin every month; select the month you wish to start.
