Band 7 Locum Obstetrics Sonographer

• Shift: Mondays and Fridays, 08:00 am – 06:00 pm
• Location: Sheffield
• Start: ASAP
• Rate: £51.00 – £52.00 per hour
We are seeking an experienced Band 7 Locum Obstetrics Sonographer to join our team in Sheffield. This ongoing role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and progressive healthcare environment, providing essential diagnostic services in obstetrics. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in obstetric ultrasound and committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
As a Band 7 Locum Obstetrics Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality obstetric ultrasound scans, including routine and complex examinations. You will provide detailed reports to assist in the clinical management of patients, working closely with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals. Ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process will be a key aspect of your role. You will also maintain accurate records and contribute to the continuous improvement of the ultrasound service.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Diagnostic Radiography or Medical Ultrasound.
- Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound (PGCert, PGDip, or MSc).
- Current HCPC or other relevant registration.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Band 7 Sonographer or equivalent.
- Expertise in a range of ultrasound specialisms, including abdominal, gynecological, musculoskeletal, and vascular imaging.
- Proven ability to provide accurate, high-quality diagnostic reports.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional standards.
- Obstetrics scans only, CASE Accreditation, DQASS registration required
