Business Change & Adoption Lead - Banking Client Experience Required

Business Change & Adoption Lead
Location:
Sheffield – 3 days/week onsite
Duration: 6 months+ contract inside IR35
Rate: £525/day inside IR35
As the Business Change and Adoption Lead, you will lead change management and adoption initiatives for the Atlassian Cloud transformation at HSBC, working with programme teams, stakeholders, and user communities to ensure successful adoption and deliver value.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with the programme team to develop the case for change, vision, and deployment plans.
- Collaborate with the user community and senior stakeholders to articulate the programme vision and manage change communication.
- Create and execute engagement plans for regional leads and build sponsor coalitions and change networks.
- Define the change and adoption approach for the Atlassian Cloud transformation and proactively address resistance.
- Provide training support to the solutions partner and design training assets on Success Factors for Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
- Work with PMO to define KPIs, track success metrics, and report against them to leadership.
- Monitor deployments, implement action plans, and mitigate risks and issues.
- Identify and engage key user personas and translate findings into training, communication, and engagement assets.
- Lead the creation of diverse training channels (self‑lead, on‑demand, bite‑size, gamified).
- Develop a multi‑channel communication strategy and balance end‑user scaling with impact.
- Coordinate with programme management to agree deployment timelines, sequencing, and exclusions.
- Attend stand‑ups, remove roadblocks, manage risks, and report progress.
- Advocate for project pace while keeping focus on medium‑term goals and group values.
- Proven change management experience in collaboration services (e.g., Dev Ops).
- Experience working in banking or a matrix organization on change projects.
- Strong communication, influencing, verbal, and written skills.
- Understanding of Atlassian Data Centre and Cloud tools.
- Experience with Success Factors training modules is highly desirable.
- Human‑centric change expertise, storytelling, and resistance management.
- Data analysis, ability to distill insights and drive adoption metrics.
- Project management fundamentals and risk management.
- Banking context – HSBC, customer, stakeholder benefits.
- Grit, resilience, partnership building, resourcefulness.
- Content creation for Atlassian products tailored to HSBC usage.
- Use of AI for product adoption, analytics, and innovative campaigns.
- Structured thinking, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
