We are looking for a strategic Operations Delivery Lead to manage high-impact digital and cloud-based initiatives. In this role, you will drive the end-to-end delivery of scalable infrastructure and software solutions, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and aligned with user needs. Leading multidisciplinary teams in an agile environment, you will bridge the gap between technical execution and organizational strategy to deliver measurable results.

This role requires a strategic leader capable of aligning IT delivery with policy outcomes while managing high-performing Dev Ops and engineering teams.

• Programme Leadership:
  Drive the strategy and roadmap for cloud-native Dev Ops programmes (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Operational Governance:
  Oversee sprint planning and backlog prioritization using Jira / Azure Dev Ops, monitoring key metrics like deployment frequency and lead time.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
  Manage third-party SLAs, contract compliance, and senior-level client relationships.
• Technical Oversight:
  Guide the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Risk & Compliance:
  Ensure all delivery aligns with GDS guidelines, NCSC security principles, and public procurement frameworks.

• Experience:
  
  Proven track record in service delivery within digital or legacy environments, specifically using an Industrialised Delivery Model.
• Public Sector Fluency:
  Deep understanding of GDS standards and the unique challenges of government IT.
• Technical Acumen:
  Practical knowledge of ITIL, cloud-native architectures, and financial awareness of service charging mechanisms.
• Leadership:
  Expert in cross-functional collaboration and managing multidisciplinary agile teams under pressure.
• Communication:
  Ability to negotiate contracts and present complex technical status to senior executive stakeholders.
