Lead Business Analyst – Contract

Day Rate: circa £550 / day

We are seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to join a high-profile programme working across complex systems environments. This is a contract opportunity for a seasoned professional who thrives in challenging landscapes and can bring structure, clarity, and leadership to multi-layered projects.

• Lead BA activities across multiple work streams in a complex systems environment.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Testers to ensure requirements are fully understood and delivered.
• Champion Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) practices, ensuring user stories and acceptance criteria are clear, testable, and aligned with business outcomes.
• Facilitate workshops, elicit requirements, and translate them into actionable deliverables.
• Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
• Mentor junior BAs and contribute to best practice frameworks.

• Proven track record as a Lead BA in large-scale, complex systems environments.
• Significant hands‑on experience with BDD (Cucumber, Gherkin, or similar frameworks).
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while driving collaboration across distributed teams.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments.
