Aabyss is now seeking an IT Apprentice with a genuine interest in technology and a strong willingness to learn. This role is ideal for someone looking to begin a career in IT while gaining hands-on experience within a supportive and knowledgeable team. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced IT professionals who are committed to mentoring and development. As part of the role, the apprentice will complete a structured training programme with Baltic Apprenticeships, attending a 2-day training block every 4-6 weeks, alongside on-the-job learning to build practical skills and industry knowledge.
In this role, you'll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job:
Diagnosing and resolving software and hardware faults. Installing, configuring, and supporting desktops and laptops. Ensuring that clients are kept up to date at all times and effectively manage their expectations Ensure the correct categorisation of each ticket and update throughout the lifecycle of the ticket. Provide technical support to clients via phone, email, and chat by following the Aabyss documented processes Complete 1st Line Support Engineer tickets following company templates, checklists, and guidelines.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues Escalate issues to 2nd Line Support when necessary Do power shell scripting Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships. Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge Ability to demonstrate good communication skills. Good time management and organisational skills. Genuine passion for IT. Has good problem solving skills.
Willingness to learn. Has good work ethic and professionalism. Grade 4 in GCSE Maths & Grade 5 in GCSE English Salary, Hours&Benefits: £23,809.50 per annum. 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Company profit share. Afterwards, we'll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification. Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. You'll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments.
With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you'll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT. You'll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
