Intumescent Sprayer

We are seeking an experienced Intumescent Sprayer to join my clients fire‑protection team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the application of intumescent coatings to a variety of surfaces, ensuring compliance with all required thicknesses, safety standards, and project specifications.

• Apply intumescent paint/coatings to structural steel using airless spray equipment
• Measure wet and dry film thickness (WFT/DFT) to meet specification
• Ensure proper surface preparation and priming
• Maintain equipment and ensure it is used safely and efficiently
• Work closely with site supervisors to meet project deadlines
• Follow all health & safety regulations and site procedures
• Keep accurate records of completed work

• Proven experience as an intumescent sprayer (minimum 1-2 years preferred)
• Strong understanding of fire‑protection coating systems
• Ability to read and interpret specification sheets
• Valid CSCS Blue Card (Minimum)
• Attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Airless spray certifications
• Experience applying epoxy and other protective coatings
• IPAF or PASMA certification
