Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
LOCATION: Office based at 5B Churchill Way, Chapeltown, Sheffield S35 2PY
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
About the roleHickton Quality Control is the UK’s largest provider of Clerk of Works services and we are looking for an experienced candidate to manage our head office team whilst overseeing quality assurance across business operations. Based within our Head Office in South Yorkshire, this role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and a passion for driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Office Management- Manage day-to-day office operations, facilities, and administrative support.
- Ensure smooth coordination between departments and maintain operational efficiency.
- Manage, support and provide an escalation point where appropriate for the head office team.
- Monitor team performance, capacity planning, and skills development.
- Support HR processes including onboarding and training coordination.
- Implement existing QA processes across operational workflows and seek improvements where necessary.
- Conduct regular internal audits and drive corrective actions.
- Be an advocate for maintaining quality and standards across our service delivery in all forms of communication and technical output.
- Assist with maintaining ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 accreditation.
- Proven experience in office management.
- Strong understanding of technical project environments.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of QA frameworks (e.g. ISO standards).
- Experience in the construction sector.
- QA certification or training.
