We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Production Engineering to lead our clients multidisciplinary engineering team in a high-volume, automated manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in robotic assembly and automated production systems, preferably within large-scale manufacturing.
This leadership role is pivotal in industrializing new products from concept to full-scale production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and scalability at every stage.
KEYDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of production, process, and manufacturing engineers.
- Drive the successfulindustrialisation of new products, ensuring smooth transition from concept to full production.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of high-volume automated and robotic assembly processes.
- Ensure production processes meet quality, cost, and delivery targets while adhering to health and safety standards.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure seamless product launch and process integration.
- Evaluate and implement advanced manufacturing technologies to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Develop engineering standards, procedures, and KPIs to promote continuous improvement within the production engineering function.
- Act as a technical authority in high-volume manufacturing and automation, mentoring and developing team members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience with digital manufacturing tools, Industry 4.0 technologies, or smart factory concepts.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, FMEA, PFMEA, and statistical process control methodologies.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in high-volume automated assembly within a large manufacturing organization.
- Experience in sectors such as automotive, electronics, or other fast‑paced, high‑volume manufacturing industries.
- Strong technical expertise in robotic assembly systems and automated production lines.
- Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary engineering teams. Demonstrated experience in bringing products from concept to full industrialization.
- Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles, process engineering, and production planning.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Effective communication and influencing skills.
- Proficient in report writing and presentations.
