JOB TITLE:
Quality Inspector
Andy File Associates Limited is working as a Recruitment Business on behalf of our client with regards to this temporary position.
Hours: 8:30 – 5:00 Monday to Friday with an hour lunch break. 37.5 per week.
Currently 3 month contract
OverviewAs a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections and tests to ensure that our client’s products meet the highest standards of quality. You will play a vital role in maintaining our client’s reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
You will collaborate with various departments including production planning, internal and external sales, and goods inwards to ensure that our client’s products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Ability to gain cooperation working with all levels.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, as well as customers and suppliers, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct gravimetric and particulate cleanliness testing.
- Conduct quality inspections internally and externally, as required.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, test results and quality control activities.
- Document and report non‑conformities or quality issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis.
- Technically advise as required from drawings.
- Use SAP to support all quality activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes and procedures.
- The ability to cover all departmental roles.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
- Responsibilities as outlined in H&S Policy.
- Tube manipulation and hose assembly knowledge for technical investigations.
- Ensure maintained compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Proven experience as a quality team member or similar position in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with measurement tools and equipment.
- The main types of measuring equipment are CMM roma arms, vernier calipers, micrometers, a Keyence IM system, rad gauges, go/no‑go gauges and rules.
- Product knowledge in the hydraulics industry.
- Understanding of production processes.
- Proficient in using computer software for documentation and record‑keeping.
- SAP.
- Excel and Word.
- Access for logging only.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
