Business Development Manager

Resulting from a period of continued growth, Mayflower Engineering Limted has an opening for a permanent Business Development Manager. The successful applicant will need to display a demonstrable track record in the development of new business sales in the very wide and diverse field of Mechanical Engineering. It would be expected that the candidate be from a sales background and be target driven;

it would be advantageous for the candidate to have a good mechanical engineering qualification.

There will be frequent UK travel therefore a clean UK driving license is essential.

Ideal experience:

* Ability to drive sales and build strong client relationships

* Generating leads and identifying target contacts

* Strong field prospecting and sales experience

* Track record of selling into the relevant sectors

* Experience of selling bespoke/high value contracts

* Experience of presenting detailed, high quality and timely proposals
   Personal qualities required:

* Ambitious, credible and technically minded

* Excellent organisational and presentation skills

* Good interpersonal skills

* Comfortable dealing with customers and prospects at all levels

* A team player willing to assist fellow colleagues

* A good verbal communicator
