We're looking for two experienced Front End Developers to support a major UK government department in developing a suite of digital services and online tools.
This is a hands‑on development role focused on building accessible, user‑friendly web services in the Welcome to style
, including online calculators, web pages and a reminder service.
We're particularly interested in developers who have previously delivered government digital services using the CASA framework
, although candidates with strong Node.js experience and a background developing front‑end services for other government departments will also be considered.
- Develop and deliver a suite of front‑end digital services and online tools for a major government department.
- Build interactive online calculators, web pages and a reminder service.
- Develop user‑facing web services aligned with the Welcome to style
. - Utilise Node.js to develop and support front‑end applications.
- Work with the CASA framework where applicable.
- Contribute to back‑end development activities where required.
- Collaborate with technical teams to deliver functional, reliable and user‑friendly digital services.
- Support the development and improvement of online government services.
We're looking for someone with:
- Strong hands‑on experience as a Front End Developer delivering web‑based applications and services.
- Practical development experience with Node.js
. - Experience building interactive, user‑facing digital tools and web pages.
- An understanding of back‑end development, alongside strong front‑end capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a technical delivery team.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to deliver high‑quality digital solutions.
- Previous experience developing Welcome to front‑end services
. - Hands‑on experience with the CASA framework
. - Experience delivering front‑end services within a major UK government department.
- A combination of front‑end and back‑end development experience.
