Simple Recruitment are seeking a Production Operative for our client based on the outskirts of Shepton Mallet for a temporary opportunity.

Monday to Friday Double rotating shift:
5.45am to 2.15pm & 1.45pm to 10.15pm

Our client is seeking Production Operatives to work in their dairy.
The environment in the dairy is hot and pungent and the role is physically demanding as it requires the individual to turn and stack the blocks of product in order for elements to be removed.

At interviews we will include a tour of the dairy for candidates.

Our clients preference is on a temp to perm basis so that the candidate can see if it is the right role for them and for us to establish if they are suited to the role.

The Job
As a Production Operative, you will be working steadily and methodically to undertake routine manual handling tasks. If you’re keen to show off an impressive work ethic and approach tasks with a smile on your face, you’ll be warmly welcomed into our client’s friendly team.

Key responsibilities:
Working steadily and methodically to carry out routine manual handling tasks.
Bagging and sealing cheese and checking for foreign body contaminants.
Taking and analysing product samples
Operating and monitoring production equipment safely
Undertaking manual handling tasks including hand stacking product/packing into boxes and onto pallets.
Use of computer and paper based systems to accurately record operational data into company’s systems, such as QIS and NAV.
Working within all company policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Food Safety, Authenticity, Legality and Quality Standards.
To carry out any other work or task(s) determined to be within your level of competence, to meet the needs of the business.

About you
This role would suit someone who thrives within a team as well as independently. If you have an action-inspired approach to work, a knack for physical labour, and excellent verbal communication skills, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Requirements:
Basic numeracy and literacy level.
This is an active role; therefore, you must be physically fit with no lingering injuries.
Due Diligence with a keen eye for detail.
A valid driver’s license as you will not be able to access the job location via public transport.
