Temporary HR Advisor - Education Sector (Term Time Only)
Location:
Yeovil Area
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
Pay Rate: £17.18 per hour
Contract:
Temporary with a Temp to Perm opportunity for the right candidate
Smart Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join a local school on a term-time only basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a CIPD-qualified HR professional to work in a rewarding education environment, providing comprehensive generalist HR support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide face-to-face generalist HR advice and guidance to management on employee relations and people management issues across Schools and Sports Centres
- Advise on HR policies, procedures, employment legislation and compliance
- Oversee and manage a wide range of HR processes, including:
- Maternity, Paternity & Shared Parental Leave
- Flexible Working Requests
- Disciplinary & Grievance processes
- Absence and Performance Management
- Annual Performance Reviews
- Training & Development
- Conflict Resolution
- Off boarding and exit arrangements
- Support Recruitment & Selection, including shortlisting and interviewing
- Assist the wider HR team with additional HR casework as required
- Manage and update HR systems and maintain accurate employee records
- Administer and maintain employee personnel files (both physical and electronic)
- Ensure ISI Inspectorate compliance, including maintaining and updating the Single Central Record (SCR)
- Undertake HR-related checks for volunteers, gap students and contractors
- Support data input, reporting, collation and preparation of HR correspondence
- Take minutes for HR-related meetings
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong generalist HR experience, ideally within an education or public sector environment
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment legislation
- Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider HR team
- Competitive hourly rate of £17.18 per hour
- Term-time only working pattern
