Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Project Manager – Postural Product Development is responsible for managing and coordinating the various stages of the product development process. The role contributes to the implementation of new solutions designed to meet the needs of different markets, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Sherbrooke.
Responsibilities- Manage and plan tasks related to product development and improvement projects, working with multidisciplinary teams to achieve schedule and cost objectives;
- Actively participate in concept development, from general concepts to detailed design, and ensure the transfer to production;
- Prepare documentation related to product development and improvement processes (specifications, DFMEA, analyses, test reports, quotations, requisitions, product release documentation, technical documentation, etc.) in accordance with established procedures;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of product development processes;
- Ensure compliance with the company’s safety and quality standards.
- College or university degree in a technical field or in product management;
- Relevant education such as industrial design technology, product design technology, collaborative industrial design, or a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with an interest in bioengineering or medical product development;
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience;
- Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience in the healthcare sector considered an asset;
- Proficiency with project tracking and documentation tools (Gantt, Excel, Word);
- Knowledge of Solid Works and PDM is an asset;
- Fluency in French (spoken and written) and intermediate English proficiency;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong interest in mobility assistive products.
