We are looking for a passionate and proactive maritime technician and diver to join our operations team. In this role, you will be supporting local operations to maintain, improve and operate the desalination buoys. You will also be executing various works at the workshop to support project operations and product improvements.
This position is for a multi-skilled person who enjoys working in a team and is known for their ability to adapt.
More specifically, here are your main responsibilities:- Operate, maintain and operate boats;
- Perform buoy inspections at sea;
- Maintain, clean and repair buoys both on land and in the ocean;
- Order, replace and stock parts required for buoy maintenance;
- Communicate potential improvements and changes to the site manager;
- Maintain site inventory documentation of spare parts;
- Ensure operation and maintenance of equipment and tools;
- Maintain maintenance logs of boats, pumps, trucks;
- Prevent and repair faults of all kinds (mechanical, hydraulic, etc.);
- Optimize workspace on site;
- Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting tasks;
- Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of work areas;
- Monitor and ensure compliance with industry standards for marine equipment;
- Implement and monitor health and safety protocols;
- Ensure the safety of personnel on board;
- Perform all other related tasks as requested to support the site operational requirements.
- Job based in our test site in Fort Pierce, FL;

- Education : Secondary education, vocational diploma, or higher
- Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and/or marine settings
- Technical skills:
- Diver certification;
- Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical skills;
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance for marine systems;
- Knowledge of applicable procedures, rules, standards and safe work practices with respect to performing duties;
- Proficiency in English and Spanish
- Personal skills :
- Ability to communicate effectively;
- Autonomy and proactivity.
- Others characteristics :
- Ability and willingness to travel to other sites located in different countries (Chile, Canada, etc) to assist in site activities. Valid passport required.
- Assets:
- Proficiency in French.
