BDM Team Leader | Lead a High-Performing Sales Team

The Opportunity

We're looking for a BDM Team Leader who can take our lead conversion to the next level. You'll lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Development Managers, helping them maximize every opportunity that comes from our BDE team.

This isn't just people management – it's about being a hands‑on coach who can demonstrate best practice, improve conversion rates, and build a winning team culture.

What You'll Actually Do 80% Coaching & Leadership:
  • Coach your BDMs on qualifying leads, overcoming objections, and closing techniques
  • Conduct regular 1-2-1s focused on performance improvement and skill development
  • Shadow calls and provide real‑time feedback to improve conversion rates
  • Run team training sessions on product knowledge, sales methodology, and best practices
  • Monitor team KPIs (conversion %, pipeline velocity, deal size) and drive improvements
  • Create accountability through clear targets and performance reviews
  • Build team morale and maintain a high‑energy, performance‑driven culture
20% Strategic & Cross‑Functional:
  • Work with marketing and BDE teams to improve lead quality and qualification
  • Analyse conversion data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities
  • Report team progress and insights to Sales Management
  • Collaborate on incentive structures and recognition programs
  • Manage team capacity, diaries, and resource allocation
Who We're Looking For Essential:


Proven B2B sales experience in Telecoms, IT, or technology solutions


Track record of strong conversion – you know how to close deals consistently


Coaching or mentoring experience in a sales environment (formal or informal)


Understanding of the full sales cycle from lead qualification to contract signature


Strong communicator – you can give constructive feedback and inspire performance


Data‑driven mindset – comfortable using metrics to identify problems and track improvement


Leadership presence – people naturally look to you for guidance and direction


Highly organized – can manage multiple team members and priorities simultaneously

Desirable:
  • Previous team leader, supervisor, or sales management experience
  • Experience building sales coaching frameworks or training materials
  • Track record of improving team conversion rates or sales metrics
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales performance tools
