Children’s Support Worker – Term-Time Only, School Hours

Location: Shrewsbury
Hours: 2 days a week - Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:45am–3:15pm (Term-Time Only) - but with flexibility to cover all 5 days Mon-Fri when needed
Pay: £12.25–£13 per hour (depending on experience)

We’re looking for a female Children’s Support Worker to provide 1:1 care for a 16-year-old girl in her special needs school setting. You'll be there to offer reassurance, practical support, and kindness—every single day.

Our client is a lovely, bright young girl who uses a wheelchair and requires support with her gastrostomy, insulin
, and communication needs
. She attends a specialist school where your presence will be essential in helping her access learning, stay safe, and enjoy her day-to-day school life.

• Tuesdays and Thursdays | 8:45am–3:15pm

• Must be flexible to cover all 5 days Monday-Friday when other Support Worker is off

• Term-time only

• Providing 1:1 support during school hours

• Assisting with medical needs including gastrostomy care and insulin administration

• Supporting communication and promoting inclusion in school activities

• Working alongside the school team to ensure a safe, fun, and engaging environment

Full clinical training will be provided—
you don’t need previous medical experience
, just the right attitude and commitment.
