Role DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Wills and Probate Solicitor/Executive to join our client's dynamic team at their Sidcup office. The successful candidate will manage a busy caseload of wills, probate, and estate administration matters from initial instructions through to completion. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone who thrives in a legal environment and is passionate about providing exceptional service in wills and probate law.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of wills, probate, and estate administration matters from initial instructions through to completion with minimal supervision.
- Handle all aspects of will drafting, probate applications, and estate administration.
- Advise clients on inheritance tax planning and trust formation.
- Take instructions from clients and provide appropriate advice.
- Obtain and prepare file documentation.
- Bill files and secure payments from clients and other parties.
- Maintain and update legal knowledge and skills.
- Minimum of 4 years PQE
- Extensive experience in managing wills, probate, and estate administration matters.
- Ability to deal with technical details and present solutions to complex legal issues concisely and customer-friendly.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to present and argue a case both orally and in writing.
- High accuracy in work according to team requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize workload and work on own initiative.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good keyboard skills.
- Sound technical knowledge of wills, probate, and estate administration.
- Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of the Solicitors Code of Conduct.
- Flexible and positive attitude.
- Excellent written and spoken English for producing documents and resolving enquiries.
- Proven ability to promote the image of the firm effectively.
