Project Engineer; Building Main Contractor

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer in coordinating with consultants on change orders, and liaise closely with the Quantity Surveyor to provide supporting documents for variation works.
• Organize manpower, equipment, and materials required for daily site operations.
• Coordinate and manage the transmission of drawings and documents to clients and subcontractors, ensuring that the latest revisions are properly issued and implemented.
• Prepare method statements, work procedures, and other necessary documentation for project execution.
• Conduct regular (weekly/monthly) meetings with subcontractors to review and update project progress.
• Ensure all works meet quality standards and comply with relevant government regulations and safety requirements.
• Prepare daily and monthly progress reports, maintain inspection and testing records, and ensure proper documentation of site activities.
• Undertake any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Project Manager or management.

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant site experience in construction (preferably new build, A&A or fit-out).
• Strong communication and coordination skills; ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders (client, consultant, subcontractors, internal).
• Familiarity with local safety regulations, WSH Act/Regs, and ability to enforce safe working practices on site.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, independent but also able to work well under a team structure.
• Experience with design & build projects, refurbishment/A&A works, or experience with interior fit‑out finishing works.
• Familiarity with BCA contractor grading implications, tendering background, and cost‑control awareness.
