Job Description
The National University of Singapore invites applications for 2 Research Assistant positions for the project of “Radionuclide Theranostics” in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The group is committed to discovering and developing new radiopharmaceuticals for cancer theranostics (therapeutics and diagnostics) that are clinically translatable. The team puts special emphasis on radionuclide imaging and therapy of cancer (radiotheranostics), multi‑model molecular imaging and nanotheranostics (various forms of nanoformulas).

Purpose of the post
The Research Assistant (RA) will be responsible to, and work closely with, the Principal Investigator and study team members to work on one of more of the following:
- Novel radiotracer development
- Preclinical small animal imaging and cancer therapy
- IND‑enabling clinical studies and IRB protocols
- Lab management
The Research Assistant will work closely with the PI to
- help the principal investigator manage the laboratory operations
- undertake administrative tasks for project management and grant support
- execute some basic experiments with standard protocols.
Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents who hold a degree in biotechnology or a related discipline for this position are welcome to apply. International applicants with a minimum of 1–2 years of experience in comparable laboratory environments and who are proficient in English as their primary working language will be considered.
QualificationsThe applicant should:
- Have a first degree with good results or holds a Master’s degree in biology, engineering, chemistry, or related disciplines;
- be able to work independently and in a team, have an investigative nature, attention to detail; and
- have experiences in the chemical synthesis and animal works will be a plus to this role
Remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
