About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join our dynamic team at ES Recruitment Pte Ltd. This is a contract position based in Bukit Merah Central Region. Only Singaporean to apply as this required Cat 2A security Clearance for this 1 Year project renewable assignment under Agency.

Objectives of this role

Responsible for the setup, configuration, and management of non-production and production platforms for automation
Lead the development and coordinate with other Ops Leads to enable Automation. Collect automation requests and guide Dev Ops and Automation Engineers to develop the automation playbook according to the proper coding standard
Migration and deployment of the playbook to operationalize automation use cases to improve productivity
Lead the design and implementation of Dev Ops and automation solutions for the project

You Must have

Experience in implementing IaC code E2E in a managed services project + must have certifications in Dev Ops, or any of the automation tools

What you'll be doing

Understand the automation specifics and concept in day-to-day service delivery and operations in IT Managed Services.

Build and maintain an automation playbook using some of these automation technologies, such as Ansible, Python, Power Shell, Chef (Ruby) and Terraform (HCL), Groovy, JavaScript, and other scripting languages.

Operationalize automation development to improve productivity.

Code or script for automated testing, as well as carry out automated testing procedures in testing and production environments.

Code control and versioning of Infra-as-code (IaC) playbook.

Manage the setup of the Dev Ops platform and deployment of the automation use cases.

Manage and operate the Platforms [Ansible, Terraform, and Gitlab] and maintain operational SLA.

Lead Dev Ops engineer to develop automation use cases using any of these platforms (Ansible, Chef, and Terraform).

Good to know integration with tools such as ITSM and so on.

Provide presales solution support for the development of an automation solution.

What we're looking for

Degree / Diploma in Computer Science / IT-related; and hands-on experience to develop IaC code using one or more of the scripting languages (e.g. Ansible, Python, Chef (Ruby), Terraform (HCL), Groovy, Powershell, bash)
6+ years of experience in IaC code development for automation related to service delivery/operation
Very good hands-on experience in Ansible, Terraform, and Chef Platform setup, configuration, and management
Experience in code versioning, CI/CD, and automated testing
Experience in Dev Ops platform setup and configuration
Experience in CI/CD Pipeline development and deployment
Hands-on experience in cloud Dev Ops is advantageous
Strong background in Linux/Unix/Windows Administration
Experience in automation, configuration, and compliance management using either Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and scripting languages
Strong experience in Postgre

SQL, MS SQL, and MySQL
In particular, sound and hands-on experience with some of the scripting languages (Python, Ansible, JavaScript, Perl, and/or Groovy)
Experience with source code and version control
Some knowledge in developing a playbook using the RPA tool
Good understanding of systems, networking, and development tools
