** Job Description
** Reporting to Shift Supervisor, this position will execute and maintain manufacturing process operations by performing routine shift activities to ensure the production process strictly follows company safety standards and local environmental regulations, and product quality is within customers’ requirements.
** Responsibilities:
*** Support Shift Supervisor in handling plant commissioning, start-up, shutdown and production activities
* Support production, quality control and maintenance operations to meet production schedules, quality and cost objectives. Production activities include performing in-process quality testing, product sample collection, plant patrolling & data logging, catalyst preparation, equipment preparation for maintenance and loading & unloading of process solvents, property analysis etc.
* Carry out routine checks to ensure safe operation and optimal performance of manufacturing process and equipment
* Operate the DCS and other plant equipment in accordance to SOP
* Perform lab analysis for in-process products
* Perform emergency response in areas of firefighting, rescue and loss containment
* Perform housekeeping in the process area
* Uphold safety standards of the company
* Provide training and guidance to junior technicians
** Requirements:
*** NITEC or Higher NITEC in Chemical Process Technology, Chemical Technology or Diploma in Chemical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the petrochemicals industry
* Entry level candidates without experience are welcome to apply with us
* Experienced candidates with more years of related experience may be considered for the Senior Process Technician position
* Experience in DCS operation, boiler operation and CERT will be advantageous
* Self-motivated and effective team player with good communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
* Able to perform rotating shift work
* Willing to work in Jurong Island
* Able to perform overtime work if required#
