About the Role

We're looking for a skilled and experienced BMS Project Engineer to join our wider BEMS Optimisation division, playing an integral part in delivery and achieving long term impact.

This role is responsible for small/medium sized projects such as upgrades as well as performing optimisation works, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance to our clients. The successful candidate will have the ability to create and modify software strategies and collaborate with Project Managers in order to lead small teams.

Responsibilities
  • Create and modify software strategies for BMS projects.
  • Collate project requirements and plan upgrades/optimisation works.
  • Lead small teams and coordinate with Project Managers.
  • Deliver projects from start to finish, ensuring on‑time and on‑budget completion.
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate all relevant works.
  • Supervise installation, commissioning and handover of client works.
  • Maintain health & safety standards and protocols at client sites.
  • Ensure RAMS reviewed, signed and updated as required.
  • Use discretion to terminate work if safety or risk standards are not met.
  • Keep health & safety certification up to date.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (HNC/ONC or equivalent).
  • Substantial experience and/or qualifications in Trend (IQ Vision desirable) and/or Tridium systems.
  • Experience in the maintenance of Building Management Systems.
  • Ability to find solutions to complex problems, with attention to detail.
  • Thorough appreciation of site operations and procedures in line with client demands.
  • Great persistence in seeking continual improvement.
  • UK Drivers Licence.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Purpose driven mindset; open and approachable manner with high moral and ethical standards.
  • Passion for social or environmental issues.
  • Proactive attitude that brings drive, energy and passion to the role.
  • Strong team player capable of working in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Qualification or experience with Cylon desirable.

  • Working away payment of 3.75 hours per night for overnight stays to complete client works.
  • On‑call payment of £35 a day for time spent on call outside of working hours.

  • Contractual hours 37.5 hours a week (Monday to Friday), with on‑call or overtime as required and paid accordingly.
  • Guaranteed starting salary from £45,000 DOE.
  • 25 days annual leave increasing to 28 days with length of service (+ bank holidays). Option to buy/sell up to 3 days holiday each year.
