Class 1 Driver

Our client based in Sittingbourne is currently looking for part‑time Class 1 Drivers.

• Refrigerated distribution across a variety of locations.
• Delivering to RDCs and collecting to and from farms.
• Shifts are on average 10 to 12 hours long.
• Some flexibility for start times as they may vary.
• Mainly a driving role with minimal handling of the load.

Shifts are predominantly Friday, Saturday & Sunday, with ad‑hoc shifts available during the working week.

Day start times: 01:00 – 05:00 hours.
Afternoon start times: 14:00 – 18:00 hours.
Night shift start times: 19:00 – midnight.

• Full Class 1 driving licence (minimum of 6 months Class 1 experience).
• Valid Digital Tachograph and CPC card.
• No more than 6 points or endorsement codes DD or DR.
• Compliance with all rules and regulations within LGV driving.
• Good roadcraft/geographical knowledge.

All candidates are required to pass the client’s assessment prior to commencing, which includes a written and practical driving test. (3‑hour assessments are held Monday to Friday, day and night).

• Days – £16.70 per hour (Monday to Friday).
• Nights – £17.80 per hour (Monday to Friday).
• Saturday Day – £20.00 per hour / Night – £20.70 per hour.
• Sunday + Bank Holiday Day – £23.62 per hour / Nights – £25.87 per hour.

New drivers to the industry with at least 6 months Class 1 experience are welcome to apply.
