Maintenance Engineer

Join a market leading food manufacturing company operating in a modern, high-tech production facility in Skelmersdale in a Days based role! We're seeking Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineers to support a growing engineering team. Total 42 hours across 3.5 days per week: 3 x 12‑hour day shift (06:00 - 18:00) aligned with site engineering shutdowns + additional 6 hours alternating Wednesday and Friday each week (07:00 - 13:00).

• Deliver hands‑on engineering support to keep production running smoothly
• Perform both reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment
• Keep maintenance records up to date using our CMMS system
• Work closely with production to meet daily performance goals
• Follow safety and repair best practices at all times
• Contribute to continuous improvement and cost‑saving initiatives

• Time‑served/apprenticeship‑trained engineer
• Relevant engineering qualifications (C&G/NVQ Level 3 or ONC/HNC preferred)
• Strong mechanical or electrical skillset
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Positive, proactive mindset and a team player
