Driver, Fleet Manager
HGV Driver – Northampton Depot
Salary: £29 994.03 + up to £4 000 bonus + overtime. Working 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday 7am–3:30pm (must be flexible to work 1–2 hours overtime daily if needed).
Our fleet includes waste handling trucks, commercial vehicles, and plant machinery. The HGV Driver/Valeter will work from the depot, deliver vehicles to customers, and valeteer vehicles to a high standard while completing necessary paperwork for the rental department.
Qualifications- HGV Class 2 licence or above
- CPC
- Experience in a similar role (HGV driver, valeter, Class 2 or Class 1 driver)
- Excellent customer service skills with proficiency in completing paperwork
- Flexibility to work overtime when required
- Delivery and collection of HGV vehicles; taking workshop vehicles to the HGV testing station
- Completing rental‑related paperwork
- Valeting HGV vehicles
- Inspecting vehicles for damage, preparing them for hire, and recording daily checks on runner vehicles
- Collecting parts for the workshop as required
- Liaising with the hire desk on a regular basis
- Keeping the yard clean and tidy
