Yard Supervisor

About The Role

As Yard Supervisor you will play a key role in the smooth and efficient running of the Service Centre. It will be your job to coach and mentor the yard operatives, helping prepare the equipment to ensure that it is clean and ready for customers to hire, coordinate the haulage and accurate allocation of products on site.

Your duties will include:

• Site orderliness and cleanliness
• Enforcing safe working practices in line with company policy
• Co-ordination of yard staff
• Ensuring Triage administration fully matches with collection and transfer notes
• Cleaning and preparing equipment
• Checking and storing off-hired equipment
• Maintaining clean and safe yard, workshop and storage areas
• Refuelling plant and keeping accurate fuel records

• The physical fitness required to undertake your daily tasks
• Ability to work as part of a team and to complete job duties on time
• Good level of Customer Service
• Willingness to undertake relevant training and development
• Commitment to health and safety – knowledge of PPE requirements and COSHH is an advantage
• Clean driving licence
• Counter‑Balance FLT licence and IPAF operator licence advantageous
