We have an exciting new opportunity as an Operational Support Manager (Repairs).

You’ll lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for planning, commercial support, materials management, systems and data, property inspections, and administrative functions.

As Operations Support Manager you will be responsible for leading all support functions in the delivery of our repairs service to ensure the function is delivered to our customers in line with our statutory requirements and vision and values. As you may imagine, this isn’t always easy, and requires empathy, strong effective communication skills and bags of resilience. A typical week could look as follows:

• Plan and allocate daily repair jobs to operatives and subcontractors, ensuring efficient routes and skill matching.
• Check material stock levels and place orders with framework suppliers to avoid delays and maintain van stock compliance.
• Review subcontractor performance reports, address any quality or timeliness issues, and approve invoices.
• Schedule and monitor property surveys for complex repairs and voids, ensuring timely completion.
• Analyse weekly KPIs such as first-time fix rates, job completion times, and cost per job to identify improvements.
• Meet with the Director of Repairs to update on service performance, budget position, and operational risks.
• Respond to customer complaints, investigate job history, and issue formal written responses within SLA.
• Conduct 1:1 meeting with team members to review performance, set targets, and provide coaching.
• Update systems and dashboards to ensure accurate job data, material usage, and compliance records.
• Prepare and review commercial reports to monitor cost control and value-for-money initiatives.
• Collaborate with other departments (Customer Services, Finance, Stores) to resolve issues and improve service delivery.
