Maintenance Team Leader (Shift Based)

Slough
Shift Pattern: 2 Days (07:00–19:00), 2 Nights (19:00–07:00), 4 days off
Salary: £52,000–£65,000 + Shift Premium + Bonus + Benefits

• Lead a team of 12 Associates, ensuring each shift runs safely and smoothly so our people and machines can perform at their best.
• Coach, develop, and support the team through regular one‑to‑one sessions and clear development plans.
• Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and maximum uptime.
• Drive a proactive maintenance culture, delivering safe and efficient planned and reactive tasks.
• Partner with production teams to minimise downtime and support continuous improvement.
• Work with diverse and talented Associates, all guided by the Five Principles.

• Experience in leading or supervising a maintenance team within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Recognised engineering qualification (e.g., apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, ONC/HNC, or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering).
• Good knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance in a food or process‑driven industry.
• Ability to solve problems, prioritise, and make effective decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop a team.
• Experience with CMMS or EAM systems (SAP preferred).
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, TPM, or Reliability‑Centred Maintenance.
