Air Export Operator

Right Now Group are recruiting for an Air Export Operator to join a leading logistics provider based in Colnbrook, near Heathrow.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced airfreight professional with a strong bias toward air export operations
. You'll be managing shipments from start to finish, including pricing, customer communication, and customs clearance - within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Experience handling perishables is beneficial but not essential
.

You will be primarily focused on air export operations but will also assist with imports when required. This is a start-to-finish role involving quotations, bookings, documentation, and clearance for time-sensitive shipments, ensuring smooth and efficient movement throughout the supply chain.

• Handle air export shipments from origin to destination, including bookings and documentation
• Support air import functions when required
• Liaise daily with clients, airlines, and overseas agents
• Prepare and submit customs declarations (NES/CHIEF)
• Produce competitive spot quotes and pricing
• Track and monitor shipments, proactively updating customers
• Ensure documentation accuracy (AWB, MUCR, DUCR, etc.) and timely invoicing
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure efficient operations

• 2+ years' experience in airfreight forwarding, ideally with a focus on exports
• Experience in handling perishable cargo is a plus

• Confident managing start-to-finish operational processes
• Skilled in completing customs declarations and working to tight deadlines
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Organised, accurate, and solutions-focused
• Proficient in systems such as CNS, CHIEF, Destin8, or similar
