Recruitment Solutions are working with a market leading business within the Industrial sector. Due to continued growth we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join the well established team, based out of Slough

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, including loading and unloading goods, stocking shelves, and maintaining an organised workspace. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• A Warehouse Operative will operate pallet trucks and other warehouse equipment safely to move products throughout the facility.
• Utilise a warehouse management system to track inventory levels and manage stock efficiently.
• Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
• Perform picking and packing of orders accurately for shipping and receiving processes.
• Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring that all items are handled safely to prevent damage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse environment to promote safety and efficiency.
• Assist in conducting regular inventory checks and reporting discrepancies as needed.
• Apply mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance of equipment used in the warehouse operations.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals while adhering to safety protocols.

• Previous warehouse operative experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with warehouse operations.
• Proficient in materials handling techniques, including heavy lifting as required by the role.
• Experience with picking & packing processes, as well as shipping & receiving procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure accuracy in all tasks performed.
• A valid forklift licence is desirable but not essential; training may be provided for suitable candidates.
