Engineering Manager – Sohar, Oman Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineering professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international safety, environmental, and quality standards (including ISO, OSHA, and relevant statutory regulations).
• Manage engineering project life cycles from concept to commissioning, ensuring on‑time delivery, budget adherence, and technical excellence.
• Drive process optimization initiatives to improve equipment reliability, reduce operational costs, and enhance production throughput.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including operations, maintenance, procurement, and R&D to align engineering solutions with business objectives.
• Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, specifications, drawings, and performance reports.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment efficiency, downtime, and project delivery.
• Represent the engineering function in strategic planning sessions and executive reviews.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering (or equivalent field).
• 5–10 years of progressive experience in engineering management, preferably within manufacturing, process industries, or heavy industrial environments.
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams and managing complex projects from inception to completion.
• In‑depth knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong understanding of industrial safety standards, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance in industrial settings.
• Proficiency in CAD software, Microsoft Project, SAP, or similar engineering and project management tools.
• Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making, and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in managing capital projects, vendor coordination, and procurement processes is highly desirable.
