Lead Financial Excellence for a Global Entertainment Brand:
Partner with the Financial Controller and Finance Manager to translate complex financial data into actionable intelligence. Proactively manage the complete month-end cycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance and strategic insights that drive informed business decisions worldwide. Support High Growth Ambitions Through Rigorous Financial Stewardship:
Take ownership of month-end close, management accounts, board reporting, budgeting, forecasting and VAT compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Your job is to become the trusted financial partner, the person leadership calls first when they need clarity on performance, cash position, or strategic investment decisions. This means understanding our multi-site and currency operations, commercial priorities, growth ambitions and operational realities inside-out. Then using that knowledge to position accurate financial reporting and insightful analysis as essential tools for strategic growth.
Your focus:
Month-end close process management Management reporting and board packs Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning Multi-currency and multi-territory compliance Cashflow management and working capital optimisation VAT returns across UK and European jurisdictions Be A Financial Champion & Take Ownership Of:
Month-End Close Process Management Lead the monthly close cycle, ensuring disciplined adherence to policy deadlines Process journals, accruals, prepayments and multi-currency revaluations Complete comprehensive reconciliations across bank accounts, AP/AR ledgers, intercompany balances and fixed assets Maintain audit-ready supporting documentation and uphold strong internal controls Management Reporting Prepare comprehensive monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow statement) Compile monthly Board Packs with clear, insightful commentary Conduct variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods Identify emerging risks, opportunities and trends requiring management attention Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning Lead annual budget preparation and periodic reforecasting exercises Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making Monitor performance against plan, proactively highlighting variances and implications Provide commercial insight into investment proposals and business cases
What We're Looking For:
You've built your career managing financial processes in fast-paced commercial environments. You understand how to translate numbers into strategic insights, what Boards need to make decisions, and how to maintain financial control across multi-site operations. You've owned month-end close, grown your financial acumen, and delivered reporting that actually drives business outcomes. You'll likely have experience in:
Ownership of month-end close processes in fast-paced commercial environments Working within multi-currency and multi-site business structures Preparing comprehensive management accounts and board-level reporting Managing intercompany transactions and multi-entity accounting Preparing VAT returns across multiple jurisdictions (UK and European essential) Supporting statutory audit processes and governance requirements Collaborating effectively with geographically dispersed operational teams You're someone who:
Fully qualified CIMA or ACCA (or final year part-qualified) Advanced Excel skills including financial modelling and data analysis Self-directed with strong personal accountability Quick to adapt and confident integrating into new environments Clear communicator who articulates complex financial information to diverse audiences Growth-minded and seeks continuous improvement in processes and systems Familiarity with retail, marketing, events, rights or royalties is highly advantageous The Numbers Behind The Biggest Events:
