An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Social Worker to join the Adults Team within North Somerset Council’s Adult Care Services

As part of a supportive and forward-thinking service, you will deliver person-centred care
, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing. Whether full-time or part-time, this role provides the ideal balance between professional fulfilment and personal flexibility.

Complete Care Act 2014 assessments, reviews, and risk assessments for adults and carers.

Develop and implement person-centred care and support plans to achieve positive outcomes.

Apply statutory frameworks such as the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Safeguarding Adults procedures
.

Promote independence and wellbeing through a strengths-based approach
.

Work collaboratively with service users, carers, health professionals, and community partners
.

Manage a varied caseload, maintaining accurate and timely electronic records.

Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings
, best interest decisions, and safeguarding enquiries.

Provide professional advice and guidance to colleagues and partner agencies.

Contribute to service development
, reflective practice, and continuous improvement.

Qualified Social Worker with registration to Social Work England
.

Experience working within Adult Social Care under the Care Act 2014.

Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and capacity assessments
.

Excellent communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills.
