Social Worker - CWD

Qualified Social Workers required for work within the children with disabilities Service in Yeovil, Somerset. This is an exciting opportunity with excellent rates of pay in a Children With Disabilities Team. Pay rate up to £38 ph. 3 month contract but always extended. South Somerset is a beautiful rural area with good links to bath, Bristol and Dorset border.

To deliver an effective social work service to children with disabilities and their families, informed by current research, legislation and departmental policy.

The teams undertake all of the work that traditionally involves a mainstream team. This involves assessing the need and identifying services that will enhance the life of the disabled child and their family. A large proportion of the work within CWD services is to identify need and provide services that minimise the effects of the disability so that the child can reach his/her full potential.

By working in partnership with the child's family, we help enable the parents/carers to continue to meet the needs of their child while alleviating some of the stress that this will involve. Social workers attend various panels in order to advocate for our young people who require a Residential placement or who require a direct payment to help support their care.

You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK.
