What you will do
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of foster carers, special guardianship carers, and private fostering arrangements.
  • Provide crucial support and guidance to kinship foster carers, enhancing their ability to offer stable and nurturing home environments.
  • Offer professional advice for special guardianship carers, ensuring access to the adoption support fund when needed.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for children and their carers.
  • Engage directly with families and children to assess needs, plan interventions, and review progress, using best practice models like Signs of Safety.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records using the Council’s case recording tools, ensuring confidentiality and data protection compliance.
  • Participate in professional supervision and continue developing personally and professionally, embracing reflective practice and evaluation.
