About Us

Market Vets is a well-established, two-site mixed practice located in North Devon, offering modern facilities and in-house diagnostics, digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, therapeutic laser, and multiparameter monitoring in theatre. Our team includes diverse clinical interests across exotics, orthopaedics, and feline medicine, with many nurses pursuing certificates and specialist development. What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an RVN who is proactive, approachable, and enthusiastic about providing the best possible care to patients and clients. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently, while thriving in a team. Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for patient welfare are essential.

Working Hours

This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week. Weekday shifts are on a rota basis, with start times from 8:00 am and finish times around 6:15 pm. The current rota includes working 1 in 7 Saturdays, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with time off in lieu within the same week.

You’ll also be part of our second on-call rota, providing cover from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm approximately once every 7 weeks. This includes a paid retainer, a call-out fee, and an enhanced rate of 1.5x hourly pay for any time worked on-site.

In addition, nurses participate in late-night inpatient checks (approximately three evenings every 7 weeks) with appropriate compensation.
