As a Receptionist you are at the heart of your practice. You are the first point of contact for every customer, welcoming them in, understanding how they are feeling, and ensuring they have a great experience. You’ll work side by side with every team member, building trust through your efficiency, accuracy, and people skills. You’ll communicate clearly and calmly with patients both in person and over the phone, handling any concerns or queries about treatments, pricing, and follow‑ups.

• Providing an exceptional patient journey both in person and over the phone
• Managing the diary and ensuring the schedule is filled correctly
• Working with the team to understand the full range of NHS and private treatment options available within the practice
• Completing relevant forms for NHS and private schemes within a specified timescale
• Taking payments and chasing outstanding patient debt
• Liaising with dental laboratories, supply companies, and other organisations

• Ability to easily build rapport and provide high-level customer service
• Passion for building knowledge of dental treatment options and becoming an expert on what the practice offers
• Drive to seize opportunities and contribute to the practice’s success
• Ability to follow processes and work in a structured, organised manner
• Comfortable working to practice KPIs (call answer rate, data capture, and rebooking)
• IT skills with the ability to learn SOE software
• Positive nature, resilience, and composure under pressure
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent team player
