At Team Support we are looking for an experienced HGV 2 Driver Loader to join our team working in refuse collection. This role starts as a temporary contract with the possibility of extension. As an HGV/LGV Class 2 Refuse Driver Loader you will lead a team of loaders, ensuring their health and safety and assisting with bin loading when necessary.

You will also be responsible for conducting vehicle checks on refuse lorries. Duties Carry out refuse & recycling collections daily with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job. Undertaking all duties in a professional manner deploying safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate to articles left for removal. Use of in-cab technology/mobile devices as directed by the Contract.

Completing relevant paperwork in real time. Responsible for the daily inspection and reporting of machinery, before and after usage, including vehicles. Responsible for the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles. To maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly members of the public and other motor users. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. Load and unload cargo, securing it properly to prevent damage during transit.

Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while driving. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively at all times. Qualifications Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.

Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations related to commercial driving. Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently. Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
