Site Agent – Civil Engineering (South Shields)

We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to join a major infrastructure project in South Shields (NE England). This is a 20-week contract starting January 2026, with accommodation provided. Limited company contractors will also be considered.

About the Project
The works involve the upgrade and extension of the South Shields 275kV substation, including the installation of Advanced Power Flow Control (APFC) technology to enhance network efficiency. Civil engineering activities will cover ducting, cable installation, foundations, and associated infrastructure.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in civil engineering site management.
Background in substation works and cable installation is highly desirable.
SMSTS and CSCS certifications are essential.
Electrical qualifications (e.g., NEC Cat 1/2) would be an advantage.
Additional Details

Contract length: 20 weeks (January start).
Accommodation provided.
Competitive day rate (CIS and Limited Company).
