SAIPA Trainee Accountant

A Well-established professional accounting firm based in the Overberg area of the Western Cape is seeking to employ SAIPA Trainee Accountants for the 2026 intake.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Produce client reports.
• Perform accounting work.
• Administrative duties.
• Full bookkeeping and accounting function up to trial balance, including debtors, creditors, bank, petty cash, journals, etc.
• Handling of VAT and PAYE reviews.
• Invoicing and debtors’ collection.
• IRP5 calculations, reconciliations and submissions.
• Liaison with clients.
• Maintenance of SARS accounts.
• PAYE/UIF/SDL calculations and EMP
  201 submissions.
• Registration and deregistration for Income Tax, PAYE, VAT and Import and Export licenses.
• Tax clearance applications.
• UIF registration and administration.
• VAT calculations and VAT
  201 submissions.
• WCA registrations, submission of returns and arranging letters of good standing.

Qualifications and experience:

• BAccounting, BCom Accounting, BCom Management Accounting, BCom Financial Accounting, or equivalent.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Driver’s licence and own transport.
