• Initiating, budgeting, planning and implementing projects
• Initiating and completing major capital and extraordinary maintenance projects according to budget
• Co-responsible to ensure maximum plant availability regarding Instrumentation equipment and systems for following plants:
  • Water treatment and distribution plants
  • Air generation
  • Power generation
  • Steam generation
  • Energy distribution and control
• Compiling detail technical specifications
• Quality control of projects, machinery and installations
• Improving the process availability of the plant
• Technical support to the maintenance sections as above
• Failure analysis
• Training of Instrumentation personnel
• Liaising with outside companies and other sections within the works
• Render an efficient and effective service which includes ISO 9002 and ISO 14001
• Standby

• National Diploma (NQF 6/10) in Instrumentation

• Minimum 18 months experience as Instrument Technician
• Preferable experience in engineering environment
• Applicants must have a sound knowledge of Instrumentation systems and the maintenance of measuring and control equipment
• Extensive k nowledge of analytical equipment
• Extensive knowledge of systems networking
• Computer literate in MS Project; MS Word, MS Excel and power point
• Experience in SAP PM Modules is recommended
• Be in possession of a Code B drivers license
• Excellent knowledge of both DCS’s and PLC’s
• ABB DCS knowledge and ABB SCADA knowledge will be advantageous
• Rockwell PLC programming and Rockwell SCADA programming
