Overview

Description

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Process Engineer to join our client’s team in Gauteng. Our client is a leading mining company that values innovation and continuous improvement. As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in optimising production processes and ensuring efficient and safe operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize throughput across the Smelter Business Complex to achieve financial year targets.
  • Enhance plant utilization and minimize metal losses by supporting the Smelter Process Leader and Senior Process Engineer with improvements and recommendations.
  • Conduct technical investigations of processes.
  • Perform process improvement studies at the project’s inception.
  • Prepare for and assist with audit duties in the Primary and Secondary Processes sections.

    • Requirements

  • A completed Matric qualification is required.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a tertiary qualification in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering.
  • Candidates must have at least 5 years of working experience in a Metallurgical or Smelter environment, including at least 2 years in a middle management position.

    • Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including SAP and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Risk management skills, with the ability to identify and eliminate risks.
  • Training skills, with the ability to train others.
  • A clear understanding of production processes.
  • Knowledge of equipment and fault detection abilities.
  • SHEQ and radiation knowledge, with the ability to diagnose faults.
  • Knowledge of hydro and pyro-metallurgy, with a thorough understanding of equipment and chemical thermodynamics.
  • Process knowledge, with a thorough understanding of material chemistry.
  • Scheduling knowledge, with the ability to effectively schedule work for colleagues.
