Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology Development Chemist to join our innovative team in Kwa Zulu-Natal. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research and development activities to enhance and improve our existing products, as well as developing new technologies and solutions to meet market demands.

Key Responsibilities:

– Plan, design and execute experiments to develop new products and improve existing ones
– Conduct chemical analysis and testing to evaluate product performance and quality
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technology development projects from concept to commercialization
– Identify opportunities for innovation and expansion within the company’s product portfolio
– Keep up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and regulatory requirements
– Maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental data and results
– Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology development or research and development
– Strong knowledge of organic chemistry, chemical process engineering, and product formulation
– Experience working in a laboratory setting and conducting chemical analysis
– Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical applications
– Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

– Experience in the chemical manufacturing or specialty chemicals industry
– Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards
– Project management experience
