Plant Engineer

Our company is seeking a well driven and well-educated Plant Engineer to join our team in Burgersfort, Limpopo.

Job Purpose:

The Plant Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation and improvement of plant equipment and systems in a chrome plant environment. They will need to ensure that all equipment is running efficiently, safely and in compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities:

- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure optimal plant performance
- Carry out routine maintenance and inspections of equipment
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise
- Develop and implement improvement projects to increase plant efficiency and productivity
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations

Requirements:
- National Diploma/B.Eng Degree/BTech Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related fields
- GCC Mines and Works qualification
- Post Graduate Diploma (advantageous)
- 5-10 years of working experience in a chrome plant environment
- 2-5 years of Plant Engineering experience within the Plant Industry (Post GCC)
- Extensive knowledge of plant equipment and maintenance practices
- Familiarity with Mine Health and Safety Act and Mining Regulations
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
