Analytical Chemist

Key Responsibilities

• Routine and non‑routine analysis to support continuous production.
• Accountable for basic laboratory administration and interaction with plant personnel.
• Adhere to quality and safety requirements.
• Good housekeeping and responsible waste management.
• Calibration and verification of laboratory equipment.
• Capable of interpretation of data and sentencing. Liaise with suppliers when there is equipment breakdown.
• Assist in interpretation of results and writing of reports.
• Ensure all laboratories comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 17025.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Adhere and implement Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensure compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE /Quality /Environmental/Energy.

• National Diploma in Chemistry/Materials Science.
• BTech/BSc qualification in Chemistry/Material Science would be advantageous.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Chemistry/Materials Science discipline within an explosives and manufacturing environment.
• Good interpersonal skills and coordinating capability.
• Clear security screening record.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Good planning and attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated and independent.
• Computer literate (MS Packages).
