Wireless Network Specialist

Our client, a prominent player in the telecommunications sector, is looking for a dedicated Wireless Network Specialist to join their team in Tembisa, Gauteng. This role is crucial for the deployment, optimization, and maintenance of wireless network infrastructure, ensuring high-speed and reliable connectivity for our client's extensive customer base. • Install, configure, and maintain wireless network hardware, including access points, controllers, and related equipment.
• Conduct site surveys and RF analysis to ensure optimal wireless coverage and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve wireless network issues, including connectivity problems, interference, and security breaches.
• Monitor wireless network performance using specialized tools and implement adjustments for improvement.
• Develop and maintain documentation for wireless network configurations, topologies, and operational procedures.
• Implement and enforce wireless security policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams on network design and integration projects.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users and junior technical staff on wireless technologies.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience specifically focused on wireless network design, implementation, and support.
• Expertise in Wi-Fi standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax), including RF principles and site survey techniques.
• Familiarity with cellular technologies (4G/LTE, 5G) and their integration with enterprise networks.
• Experience with wireless security protocols (WPA2/3, RADIUS, EAP).
• Proficiency in using wireless diagnostic and spectrum analysis tools.
