**** JOB SUMMARY
** The Speech-Language Pathologist provides evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of communication, cognitive/communication and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages. He/she makes appropriate referrals inside the institution and to outside agencies as appropriate.
** JOB QUALIFICATIONS
**** EDUCATION
* ** For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
*** Minimum

Required:

** M.A. or M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology
** Preferred/Optional:
** None
* * EXPERIENCE
* *** Minimum

Required:

** Must have completed the fellowship year.
** Preferred/Optional:
** Two years clinical experience.
** CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
*** The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position.  Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
*** Minimum

Required:

** Current Wisconsin DRL Licensure/Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
** Preferred/Optional:
** Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at of hire.
