We are seeking an experienced IT Technician to join our team in Johannesburg South, South Africa. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a passion for solving complex IT issues. As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients, troubleshooting hardware and software problems, and maintaining our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide technical support to clients, both remotely and on-site - Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues - Install and configure computer systems, networks, printers, and other IT equipment - Monitor and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, routers, and firewalls - Conduct regular system backups and ensure data integrity - Keep track of inventory and order new equipment as needed - Train and assist users on new software and hardware - Stay updated on the latest technology trends and make recommendations for improvement - Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex IT issues - Adhere to company policies and procedures for data security and system maintenance - Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive relationship with clients

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - 2+ years of experience in a similar role - Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking

- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems

- Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V - Knowledge of network security and data backup solutions - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Strong communication and customer service skills - IT certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional, are a plus

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Johannesburg South, South Africa. The IT Technician may be required to work occasional evenings or weekends to meet project deadlines or provide after-hours support to clients. The role may also involve some travel to client sites within the Johannesburg South area.
